Kate is an accredited Philosophy teacher trainer in Australia (FAPSA) and the United Kingdom (SAPERE), the Associate Director, Centre for Critical Thinking and Ethics at Newington College, and a dedicated philosophy teacher K-6. Previously, she was an award-winning children’s television creator. Her specialised training includes a residency at the Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children (IAPC) at Montclair University, New Jersey, and an intensive course in The Art of Questioning at the Institut of Philosophy Practice in France. She has presented papers in Vancouver, Seattle, Cape Town, London, Auckland and Wellington and is one of the lead authors in the 2018 Routledge publication Philosophy in Australia.
In 2014 she was awarded the NSW Premier’s Early Childhood Scholarship to study introducing P4C in the early childhood years (3-6) and presents courses for Early Childhood professionals in P4C for this age group.
In 2023 Kate was awarded the Outstanding Professional Service Award by the Institute for Educational Leadership in Australia in recognition of her voluntary work for the Philosophy in Schools Association NSW.
Sally is a philosophy and science secondary and tertiary teacher, an author and an accredited Level 2 FAPSA Teacher Trainer in Philosophy for Children. She taught the Philosophy of Science program for several years as part of the science enrichment curriculum at Moriah College, and a History and Philosophy of Science elective at the University of Sydney. In 2010 Sally designed a NSW Stage 5 general philosophy elective course that was supported by the Board of Studies, and which she taught in its inaugural year. Sally also writes and reviews science and philosophy education material for clients such as the ABC, ACARA, ACER, ANSTO, CMRI, NRMA, Cosmos, Refraction Media (RM), and RIAus, as well as various universities around Australia. In 2013 Sally worked with Macmillan Publishing as the principal author of their inquiry-based science workbooks for the new Yr7 to 10 Australian Curriculum. In 2015 she co-wrote a NSW Stage 5 STEM elective, launched the inaugural DNA Day biotechnology outreach program and was part of the RM team as finalists in the Telstra small business awards.

- 14/2/17 Kate invited to present a paper at the ICPIC conference Madrid and to co-chair a symposium on How the feminine and feminism are entangled in P4C praxis/experience/intra-actions.

- 6/16 Kate presented ‘Thinking Mathematically’ workshops in Wales, Cumbria, Gloucester and a one day workshop ‘Philosophy for 5 year olds‘ at The Philosophy Foundation, London UK.
